Quarantine Has Ended in KYK Dormitories

The Minister of Youth and Sports, M. Muharrem Kasapoğlu made a statement on Credit Dormitories Institution (KYK) dormitories where pilgrims coming back from umrah were quarantined due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Minister’s statement is as follows: “The quarantine in the dormitories has ended. Now we began to prepare them for our young people again. Our dormitories have fulfilled their function and have started to be disinfected, cleaned and prepared for nearly seven hundred thousand precious young people. In this process, our students who have given their dorm rooms to our citizens deserve greatest thanks. We will give the dorm rooms back soon to their real owners, to our students.”

As we mentioned in our previous article, many students suffered from the quarantine in KYK dormitories which began on March 15th. The students had to leave their personal belongings such as books, lecture notes and clothes in their rooms, and they were not able to get a clear response from the authorities on how long the solution would last for.
