The new academic year started with discussions about the (online/face-to-face/hybrid) education models to be applied in the universities. Students who demanded a hybrid education model tried to make their voices heard with the
hashtags #ÜnileriYÖKEtme, #YÖKHibriteSesVer (Higher Education Council should answer the requests for hybrid education) and #ÜnililerSokağaYÖKİstifaya (University students should take the street, YÖK should resign). However, after the Higher Education Council (YÖK) announced its recommendation, a large number of university administrations has opted for online education.
