Twitter restricted the news portal accounts used by students at Istanbul University (IU) and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSU). The Twitter accounts of the IU news portal Hergele Postası and the MSGSÜ news portal Politik Baykuş  were temporarily restricted due to the attacks.

The reason for the restriction on news portals that provide strengthening solidarity and organization among students is unknown. Student clubs/communities are demanding the removal of the temporary restriction on these platforms as these accounts are one of the few places where university students can make their voices heard.
