Human Rights Association (İHD), Media and Law Studies Association (MLSA), EuroMed Rights and the Civic Space Studies Association held a series of meetings with the Council of Europe on 7-8 December in Strasbourg within the framework of Fundamental Rights, Rights Defenders, Fair Trial project, in order to prevent human rights defenders from being harassed and harassed through the judiciary, to coordinate trial observation of the cases brought to criminalize defenders, and to discuss ways of cooperation.

Representatives exchanged information on the right to a fair trial and demanded support for rights defenders during the meetings attended by our director Berna Akkızal on behalf of our association that was held yesterday with Elena Jovanovska Brezoska, Head of the South East European Unit of the Council of Europe, and Dunja Mijatović, the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe today.
