Students’ Request Hybrid Education Model for Fall Term: #YÖKhibriteSESver
Most universities have chosen to apply the online education model in the fall term of 2020-2021. In addition, face-to-face education would be held in laboratories, applied subjects and project studies in some universities.
University students started to express their demands with the announcement of the online education model. They demand a hybrid education model, a combination of online and face-to-face education, and continue to make their voices heard on social media.
Following the Justice and Development Party (AKP) Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting held on September 29 at 15:00, the students expressed their demands for a hybrid education model under the hashtag # YÖKhibriteSESver (1). Students pointed out that the online model creates inequality and does not provide quality education. They requested the necessary precautions be taken and that a hybrid education be applied.
