The Higher Education Council (YÖK) announced that university administrations would choose their own education models in the 2020- 2021 fall term. 

Bahçeşehir University administration stated that in the fall term of 2020-2021 education would mostly be continued online, and that there would be  face-to-face education  held in laboratory, application, workshops, activities and projects. Following this announcement, the students started a campaign. The students  draw attention to the financial difficulties they faced due to the pandemic, and they demand a discount in tuition fees as the majority of their education would be online in the fall term. In addition, the students stated in the campaign text that education was also online in the spring semester of 2019-2020 and demanded a rearrangement of the previous semester tuition fees and the refund of their money.
